A Lovely Year of Finishes - May Goal

Remember these blocks I was going to turn into my April's A Lovely Year of Finishes wall hanging?

Well, here is how much I worked on that project....

Yep...That is the sound of crickets chirping in the background!

So for the month of May, rather than continue this negative trend, I'm changing my month's goal to a new project (because obviously I have no desire to work on that one yet!).  My goal is to not only sew up a new tablecloth for my little kitchenette table but I thought I would take some photos of the process and put together a tutorial to share with all of you.

Here's the fabric I plan on using. It will go great with my turquoise and tangerine dishes!

ALYoF2014

There are a number of great projects being worked on this month.  You can check them all out here at Bittersweet Designs

Hope I can get back to finding the enthusiasm to finish up some older projects.  I was doing so well the first few months of the year!

Good idea to set that first one aside for awhile. Besides, your kitchen needs a new tablecloth to set off those colorful dishes!

I hadn't seen your houses. They are adorable - is there a pattern for them. I'm not good at creating applique patterns. I can do SOME pieced patterns and not applique. Some times it is wonderful to go to another project and even start something new. I have a quilt that has been unfinished in my attic for over 25 years. It just may be a quilt that is meant not to be finished.
