A Fun Time Teaching!

Recently, I had the pleasure of teaching my Tangerine Dreams pattern to a group of wonderful quilters at Our Sewing Room in Springfield Oregon.
(The pattern was published in the Sept/Oct 2013 issue of Quilty magazine).
It was a fun day spent with new friends!

Many of the students loved the colors in my original quilt so there was a lot of pretty gray and orange fabrics to look at.

Before the end of the class, everyone finished up the center block of their quilt.
Here are a few photos of some pretty finishes and their shy makers.
One student even finished up two blocks.  She chose a more masculine colorway and pulled all the fabrics from her stash.  Everyone has promised to send me pictures of these quilts when they are finished.
As a class sample, I sewed along using up some more of my 1930's reproduction fabrics.
(Boy will I be happy once all these fabrics are gone!)
Here is my cute little baby quilt all finished up.  Very sweet!

As of right now, I don't have any quilting classes scheduled but I am hoping to line some up in the Eugene area for this fall.  I am hoping to organize a class or two that combine colorwork and playing with scraps.  As I get something scheduled, I will be updating my Classes page.  So if you are interested in taking a class, keep checking back or drop me a line.

This is a Friday Finish so I will be linking this post with TGIFF, Richard and Tanya Quilts, Forth Worth Fabric Studio,Crazy Mom Quilts,  Sew Can She, and Confessions of a Fabric Addict.  Hope to see your finishes there too!

Very lovely baby quilt. I have the issue of quilty. The block is much larger than I realized.
