Oh Scrap! : RSC15 Turquoise

With just over a week left to the month, I thought I had better sew up my Rainbow Scrap Challenge blocks.  The color for this month is soft blue but I decided I had more scraps toward the turquoise color so that is the direction I went.

These might be my favorite blocks so far!

As I finish the blocks, I have been adding them to one of my design walls.  I hope July is either orange or red - I need some more hot colors in this quilt!

On Friday night, I worked on three scrap quilts at once - my RSC15 blocks, my Scrap-A-Palooza quilt and my Scrap Vortex. It was one happy mess!

*******************************************

Now it is time to link up and share what scrappy projects you have worked on this week.  Here are the details for linking up:
  • This linky party is for any scrappy project - It can be in-process or a finished piece.
  • You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features your use of scraps.
  • If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. So if you are writing about scraps, just get into the habit of including a link as there will be a linky party available every week!
  • If you are using Instagram, please use the hashtag #ohscrap.
  • This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
  • Following my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!

Every month I fall even deeper in love with that nine patch quilt! (I have quite a few nine patches left over from my Star Patch quilt. Hmmm....)

I am hoping for RED next month - it needs thinning out.

My scraps are getting ahead of me while I tend to other projects. I will return.

My scraps are taking over. It is so nice to finally finish something, even though it doesn't seem as if my scrap bin is getting any lighter.

I am loving your 9Patch blocks. They look great with the alternating light and dark backgrounds.

Sounds like one scrappy mess. The black and white really ties the nine patches all together beautifully.

your little 9 patch blocks are great. I do like the lean toward turquoise. I need to pull out last years blocks and add to them. I think I ran out of the background fabric which totally frustrated me! I've been doing more quilting than working with scraps. Sigh.

Hi, Cynthia :) Thanks for linking up at BOMs Away. Your scrappy rainbow project is looking fantastic now that you have so many blocks done up!

You have given me ideas to do with my scrap fabrics. I am going to have to join the scrappy party.

I do like your turquoise blocks. They are my idea of soft blue, too. Amazing that the year is nearly half over already. Six more months of color to add, so I'm sure you'll get some kind of red.
