To Austria with Love

When I saw that Irene of Patchwork & Pastry was taking donations of quilts for the Syrian refugees arriving in Austria, I had no doubt I had a quilt or two I could send to her collection point in North Carolina.  She has family members in Austria that are taking items directly to the refugee camps.

I figured the quilts are needed there now so I pulled a couple of quilts from my Etsy site that are already finished and ready to go.

One baby and one child size quilt are packed and on their way. I hope these bring comfort and most importantly warmth to a little one who is in such great need of both.  Thanks Irene for getting them to their destination!

If you have a quilt or even a finished quilt top or blocks you wish to send, just leave your email in a comment on Irene's blog and she will get you her shipping address.

I also wanted to share my finished Wiggle Time quilt top.  It is already all finished and waiting to be quilted.  I am not sure I will find time to get it loaded onto my longarm this month like I had hoped.  We will have to see how the rest of the month goes!

...and remember that all my quilt patterns are on sale the entire month of September (In both my Etsy and my Craftsy shop).  This includes the above Wiggle Time pattern.

grab button for 100 Quilts for Kids

To help get the word out, I will link up this post with Quilts in the Queue for the 100 Quilts for Kids event.  Check out all the other great quilts that are being made for kids.  It is truly inspiring!

I saw the post but didn't see if there is a deadline for the quilts. Do you think she'd be interested in a Christmas quilt? That's the only one I have that is in the "near-ready" stage. Shoot, I guess I could ask her myself. :-))

I love the wiggle quilt!

You are so kind - it is a great cause and it would be devastating to lose your home. Take care:))

I'm sure there are a great many of us out there that have quilts for this cause! I need to check in to this, thank you!

I will check out Irene's post; love the two you're sending to her, and great that she is organizing the drop and send like this. My heart has gone out to the thousands of these people. Love the new Wiggle Time rendition.

Those are wonderful quilts for a great cause. I love wiggle room. I can't wait to see how you decide to quilt it.
