A New Quilt Kit Just for Me!

A few weeks ago, as everyone was sharing pictures of quilts from QuiltCon, there was one that kept catching my eye.  It was the Octagon Shimmer from Jennifer Sampou.  I loved it!  I did a bit of research and found out that not only was there a pattern but kits were available.

I really enjoyed making the Park Bench quilt from a kit.  I didn't have to go out and buy a bunch of extra fabric - everything I needed came in a nice package.

A few more clicks and I discovered the kit at a great deal on Craftsy.  At half off, it went into my cart immediately!  Not sure when I will be able to start it but for now I am just enjoying all the pretty fabric.  And there is a LOT of it!

If you didn't know, March is National Craft Month and Craftsy is holding a wonderful giveaway.  Win a mystery supplies box for you AND a friend!  You can enter by clicking here!

Good Luck!

Don't you love a good deal?! If it turns out like your Park Bench Quilt it's going to be stunning! Buying an entire kit is something I have never done, but it sure would be nice not having to pick fabric!

I loved that quilt too Cyndy. It was really hard not to buy the kit, especially at that great price. I counted up what I have waiting to be sewn though and the list hit thirty, so I'm on a new project diet for sure.

I'm thrilled for you that you were able to get a kit to make the quilt you crave. However, I thought it was really odd that there were quilts juried into the show which were made from - or at least could've been made from - a kit! I kind of thought they, and most other shows, would be looking for originality? But then what do I know? I guess that's just one of the many reasons I don't try to enter shows. It would be too frustrating to try to figure out how to make what they want and too disappointing when I'm not chosen. So, instead, I make the quilts I like, and I either keep them or give them away as gifts.

Lovely range of fabric, and even better at 1/2 price! Looks like a great pattern too, are those little flying geese across the borders?

Good for you for treating yourself to a pattern and fabric kit that spoke to you. Sometimes we get so caught up in making for others that we forget to make a little something for ourselves once in a while. Thanks for linking up with Sunday Stash!
