A Really Big Finish!

I am so happy to announce I am finally releasing another pattern.
This one is called Spin!

This pretty blue and white one I made using half yard cuts but it is also designed to use scraps.  As you can see, even the border is pieced!

I really have a soft spot in my heart for two colored quilts.  And I love taking a traditional block and putting a new spin on it.  In this case, I did that literally!

My original quilt was made in red and light gray.  It is a perfect pattern for a confident beginner or the seasoned quilter.  The pattern has clear instructions and diagrams to help ensure success.  The reason this pattern has taken so long is I have been working with a graphic artist and now it is professionally formatted so I can start getting it out to stores soon.

Just like I have done with all of my patterns, I have created a Spin! Pinterest board sharing quilts made using this pattern.  It is a great place to see how others are using my patterns!

As you can see, I have gone a little crazy and started making one in every color!

If you would like to buy this pattern, it is available as a pdf download through my Etsy shop or through my Payhip Pattern Store.  To celebrate, I thought I would put all of my patterns on sale through Sunday May 1st - including this Spin! pattern.  So this weekend is a great time to grab those patterns because sometime Monday, they will be increased to their regular price.

And what is a pattern release without a giveaway!  You can win your own pdf copy of the pattern (I will credit you back if you have already purchased it) and to get you started, I will send you a half yard of two Kona solids.

You can choose Kona Ash and Kona Navy...

...or you can pick Kona Lipstick to go with the Kona Ash.

I would have a hard time choosing between these colors.

There are two ways to enter.  1) The first is to just leave me a comment letting me know which Kona combination you would like to win. 2) For an additional entry, help me share this new pattern.  Pin it, tweet it, share it on your Facebook - however you want to help me spread the word is fine by me.  Then just leave a comment letting me know how you shared it.  I really do appreciate it!

International readers are welcome to enter BUT, due to high shipping costs, I may not be able to ship the fabrics.  I will just need to play it by ear.  But if you should win, I will still send you a .pdf of any or even all of my patterns.

Please make sure you’re not a no-reply commenter (or leave an email address in your comment if you’re not sure). You cannot win if I cannot get a hold of you!

The giveaway will end on Sunday May 1st at 9 pm PST.
Good Luck!

*****This giveaway is closed. The winner is #2 Jayne of Twiggy and Opal. ******

Love the pattern! I've been intrigued by the idea of log cabins as curves ever since I first saw one but haven't been brave enough to try it yet. I would love to make one in the red/grey colorway.

I have pinned your quilt to my "quilting inspiration" board.

Oh, that is a fantastic pattern!! Love it!
(I'm working on picturing it scrappy - like I need another idea running around in my head! *grin*)
Red is good. Red is almost orange, which is the perfect color. 8)

Just when you think there is nothing new about a log cabin pattern, up pops another one. That design is soo cool. I'm leaning toward the blue and gray fabrics, but either one would be fun to work up. Congrats.

Great pattern...really is a striking quilt. I would HAVE to choose the Lipstick and Ash combination. If you knew me you would know I keep one (lipstick, that is....lol) in my pocket, my purse, my car and even one in my bra most days. My grown children share a laugh about "Mom and her lipsticks". Thank you for the chance to win.

Funny how an old pattern can turn "modern" with a little help from Cynthia. Great job, girl! Just beautifully done. I love this one, and not only because it is blue lol. You'd think I'd go with the navy and you would be wrong. I'd like lipstick if I win. The daughter of a friends loves red, black and grey. I'm sure she would love this pattern too. Thanks for the chance. Great pattern. ;^)

Hi, I'm visiting from over at Lara's fun mini blog hop. Somehow I missed this post before. I love me a log cabin block, and I thought I had seen every way of setting them together, but this is certainly a new spin! I love it. I really like the two-color combination, but I'm sure there will be lots of variations on that, too. I bet Jayne was thrilled with her win!
