Oh Scrap! : Strangely Quiet

There has not been a lot of sewing going on at my house lately.  My Bernina has been strangely quiet.  However, I have been busy longarm quilting for others, sewing bindings on some of my own quilts (that I hope to share soon) and working out in my gardens.  My two design walls are currently bare.  Gasp!

But I did paper piece a scrappy heart for my Splendid Sampler.  I had planned on completing a number of blocks but this one was pretty time consuming.  Hopefully by the end of the long weekend I will have a few more to share.

But the weather has been so beautiful it is hard to work inside!

Ooh, I love that block! I'm still running behind but now I feel like doing a bit today. We are in the middle of a heat wave so maybe some time at the sewing machine with the A/C is in order.

Your heart block is so pretty in the Kaffe fabrics! I haven't joined in the Splendid Sampler, but I did print that block out, so I could make one. I love a scrappy heart block!

I cannot believe your walls are bare. Knowing you it won't last long! It is that time of the year where we need to fix what winter has done...weeds, planting, mowing!

Lovely heart block. The colors blend so well together that you can hardly tell it is as scrappy as it is.

I've been trying to get out in the garden in between the rains. Veggies are doing well but the flower gardens and strawberries are full, full, full of weeds.

Love those Kaffe Fassett fabrics Cynthia...makes a gorgeous heart. Sometimes the garden has to win. Perhaps all that lovely spring air gives us a new look on our stitching and a spring in our machines..lol.

That is one great scrappy heart. If I didn't dislike paper piecing so much I would make one.

That's a great heart block! I have saved the patterns for future use - just in case. :-)

Paper piecing is growing on me. This heart is adorable! I agree, it's very difficult to work inside when there's so much to do outdoors. Our machines will be there for us when we are ready to come back to them! :)

Sometimes the universe conspires to keep us from the studio! I haven't sewn in almost a week. But that is one cute block.
