Oh Scrap! : RSC16 Blocks

I am so much happier now that the weather is cooler!  I live in the pacific northwest because I like moderate weather.  I get a bit grumpy when temperatures are in the 90's.  And unfortunately for me, my AC decided to go out on day one of the heatwave.  My sewing room became a sweatshop...literally!

As soon as it cooled, I was able to get my Rainbow Scrap Challenge blocks sewn up.  The color for June is teal, which is a favorite of mine.

Two quilts are slowly growing on my big design wall.  Each will have a total of twelve 14" blocks.

I also was able to make a teal piglet.  He is quite the sassy fellow.  I also have a plan for these blocks which I will be sharing in a few months.  Just two more blocks needed for this one!

I didn't get a chance to work on my Rainbow Scrap Sampler - hopefully I will have those blocks finished by next Sunday.

Keep sewing those scraps!

And if you need some inspiration, Craftsy is having a sale on all of their classes through Monday the 13th.   There are lots of classes focused on sewing those scraps.

I feel your pain, Cynthia. Our upstairs unit (where we sleep) goes out when the temp is over 90, but heals itself during the night when it finally cools down outside.

We finally hit summer after a long, cold, wet spring, but it went straight to the 90s, so I know how you feel! I love your chain blocks for the RSC, they are looking great together! And the piggy is adorable!

Hoping you don't melt in the heat!

Pretty blocks. When I see the piglet blocks all I can think of is when pigs fly. I will be watching to seeing your piglets fly into a quilt.

Your teal blocks are quite wonderful and I can commiserate with hating a sweatshop, wherever it is! 90° is too hot!!! Thank you for hostessing the linky party, too.
