Summer Solstice Quilt Along - Cutting Complete

I was so productive this last weekend!
I was able to make a final decision on fabrics and finish all the cutting on my Summer Solstice quilt.

The turquoise and teal will be the background.
The upper right squares are for the flying geese, which I am assuming are the outside points.
The last design board will be all of the stars, HSTs and drunkards path blocks.

I am excited to get started!

This quilt along is being hosted by Melissa at Happy Quilting and there is still time to get on board.  Even if you don't join in, you can still see all the lovely quilts being made.  This week everyone is linking up their fabrics.  I love to see all the variations in colors and styles.

I love your fabric choices! What size are you making? I'm doing a baby quilt as we have a new grandson due in the Fall.

Doesn't it feel got to have all the fabric cutting done? :) That feeling of anticipation at this stage is always there for me.

What pretty colour choices for a solstice quilt! You really do have a good 'eye'.

It all looks so pretty!!! Love those pretty blues in the background with the beautiful yellow and oranges. Just for clarification, the Flying geese are the points in the center star and a part of the surround. The points in the corners are HST's. I can sent you a picture of the block broken down if it helps ;)

Gorgeous colour palette. This looked a great QAL but I will be strictly viewing from the sidelines this time!

Great colors! I actually love the orange squares lined up on that grey block just like that. It looks really neat. I can't wait to see your blocks.

Good Evening! I read your post early this morning and it just did not click, but has been bugging me all day. So, I finally decided to reread your post. Well no wonder it all clicked, I am doing the same quilt along and am cutting out my pieces today! LOL at myself.

I think the fabric choices that you have made are very pretty and will make a beautiful quilt. I hope that I get all of my pieces cut out today, if not I will finish up tomorrow and then post about them. Thank you for sharing and have a fantastic creative day!

That is going to be a gorgeous quilt, and like others have said, such perfect fabric choices for a summery solstice time of year quilt! I just got back from my trip yesterday, picked up my machine from the "spa", and now I'm ready to do some more sewing myself! Hope you're having a great week!
