All Stocked Up!

A giant box arrived on my doorstep this afternoon.  Now I have no reason not to finish up a number of my UFOs.

I love to have a nice stash of backings on hand so that my finishes are never held up waiting on fabric.  I also like to pick up my backings when they are on sale or out of a clearance section.  Like all of my fabric, I keep my backing sorted by color and I try to keep a couple of choices in each colorway.  Connecting Threads has their wide backings on sale right now and moved some items (like Amanda Jean Nyberg's latest collection) to their clearance section so I bought a bunch of 4 yard cuts.  This stack makes me want to go sew!

The one I love the most was the cheapest one!  I bet this one doesn't stay in my stash long.

Now my backings are all stocked up just waiting for me to finish up a quilt top!

I'm lovin' the bottom two in your pile. Who doesn't love multi-colored circles!? It's like going to the circus without leaving home. I thought about purchasing some of the wide backing from CT while it's on sale, but I'm on a VERY tight budget right now and it will just have to wait. Hopefully, next year they'll have the sale again. :) Have fun!

There is nothing more frustrating when I don't have backing on hand!! We'll see about the 'no more excuses'! We all know how that sometimes goes!

Awesome! I agree that being stocked up, especially on backings, can help me be productive, too.

I once chose a backing and then made a quilt top to go with it! Reverse logic, I guess! Have fun.

I love Connecting Threads too. I got three fabrics from your pile in my last order but mine aren't backing size, just regular. I need to finish something before I can cut those up. Your favorite is gorgeous! Enjoy! ;^)

Feels good to be all stocked up and ready for action, doesn't it? I'm going to peek at the CT sale, just for fun...

Connecting Threads can be dangerous, but they have such great sales. I stocked up too, on some fun tone on tones to go with my abundance of scraps. It's nice to have what you need on hand and Connecting Threads is definitely an enabler there!

I went a little crazy on the Connecting Threads clearance sale a few weeks ago, too. I got an amazing amount of fabric for $50. So much fun awaits!! Good luck on using this momentum to finish some things up. xoxo
