Oh Scrap! : So Many Projects

The last few days have been filled with lots of scraps!

I cut and sewed two more of my postage stamp "pixel" blocks.  I now have four done so that leaves 11 more to do.  This is definitely a project where I am now asking myself...
"What was I thinking!"

I added some low volume pieces to the red and blue scraps I cut last week.  I have been mindlessly sewing them into blocks.  They go together quickly so I already have enough to make a quilt top.

I have also been sewing away on my blue version of my Well-Suited quilt.  I miscounted during my cutting so I have to scrounge up more fabric before I can continue.  I also need a free design wall so I can start cleaning up the blocks by removing the dog ears and deciding on a final layout.

I have been using the flip corner technique for my geese blocks so I have lots of bonus triangles.  I have been turning these into these cute pinwheel blocks.  I will add these to the RSC Well Suited rainbow pinwheels so next year I should have enough for a quilt.

The scraps are flying right now at my house...What is up at yours?

While I'm a BIG fan of Postage Stamp quilts (there's one on my longarm right now), I am REALLY loving those red, low volume, and blue brick blocks!! It looks like you have been having some fun with your fabric scraps. I'm hoping for a bit of that myself... Unless the forecast clears and I can go play in the garden, again!

You always have neat block ideas - I think you'll sew up those blue scraps in no time! The postage stamp blocks you're making are getting more and more intriguing - I'm looking forward to seeing what they turn into. Have a great Sunday, Cyndy!

Your scrappy projects are looking terrific! Are you sewing individual squares for your postage stamp blocks or strip piecing them?

Oh, LOTs of wonderfully scrappy projects! If I had to pick a fav I would say Well Suited. And good for you for using up waste triangles right away in those pinwheels.

I made one postage stamp block last year and stopped. Even one was enough to make me wonder what what I had been thinking! I so admire those who keep on making block after block after block. And I have geese bodies leftover from my current Not a Mystery project. I plan to use them in the Well Suited block design one day in the near future.

I'm interested in seeing where your postage stamp blocks lead you. Your two examples are intriguing.
