Our small group of 5 regulars have made 12 quilts so far this year plus some school kit bags that hold school supplies for children in third world countries. I love to get blocks from others where their creativity has already made the hard choices. I make quilts to raise money for our school and the community with blocks given to me. I love working with other's works-- it takes the pressure off :) I would happily take your blocks and create something fabulous with them that would support other's fundraising goals. The philanthropy team makes quilt kits from fabric donated, the members make the kits into tops, and then our members quilt and bind them. A quilt like this would be given to an adult or teenager in one of the non-profit organizations we work with. We make baby quilts for the Armed Forces at Twenty-Nine Palms' baby showers held every quarter. Each new mothee gets a quilt. We make pillowcases for pediatric and adult oncology units and placemats for Meals on Wheels and senior citizen homes. If chosen, we would be happy to send you a photo once the quilt is finished. The diamond one would probably be made into a lap robe for a local rest home or if I can make it larger (adding borders) it could go to an area hospice unit.
