Before I get to the giveaway, I thought I would share a few of the projects I have written about on my blog over the last 6 months. I have a regular series called Scrap-A-Palooza. Each month, I walk my readers through my process in making a scrap
quilt from my scraps. You can check out the quilts we have completed this
year by visiting the Scrap-A-Palooza Gallery page. Here are a few examples of some of the quilts made so far along with some cute buckets I made to hold my scraps.
So let's just get to the reason all of you are here!! I decided to share some of Moda's April Showers collection by Bonnie & Camille with one lucky reader. The winner will be chosen randomly.
A total of 5 fat quarters are included in this sweet little bundle!
To enter, just leave me a comment letting me know if you have sewn any gifts for the holidays.
I haven't even started with my gift list so I guess I am looking for ideas!
And because I so appreciate those who follow along with my projects, you get a second entry. Just
leave an additional comment letting me know how you follow.
Please make
sure you’re not a no-reply blogger (or leave an email
address in your comment if you’re not sure). I may not be able to reply
to all comments left during the giveaway as it gets a bit overwhelming!
But I certainly will try.
The giveaway is open until Friday December 12th, 5pm PST. International guests are always welcome!
***Sorry, this giveaway is now closed! Best of luck to all that entered!***
Congratulations Catskill Quilter! Your package is on the way!!
For another giveaway...
if you are visiting before December 11th, you still have time to enter to win a free copy of my Wiggle Time pattern over at Mountain Quiltworks.
If you would like to buy the pattern (or at least get it on your wishlist), you can find it here in Craftsy or in my Etsy shop. If you do go ahead and buy the pattern and end up winning the giveaway, no worries, I will just refund your money!

The only handmade gift I've done this year is a Christmas quilt for my sister. I used Bonnie Hunter's Sisters Choice quilt.
Finishing up the quilting on my Grandson's quilt and have made some fabric bags and wrappings that I am also very happy about.
I have completed a cross-stitch of my dad's Cessna 142 that has taken me about 10 years to complete! I don't have time to frame it before Christmas, but I'm going to take it home anyway. The plan was to surround the cross-stitch with pictures of him with his plane, and pics of the details of the plane. I plan to present the cross-stitch, and then get it to a local frame shop so he can pick it up when it's ready in the new year.
I' not making any gifts this year, but I am making a Christmas table runner.

I hope to make some handmade gifts but somehow time is running, isn't it? Perhaps this weekend.
I've sewn just one gift this year - a Wiggle Time Quilt! So nice to be ready instead of stitching down the binding on Christmas Eve! Love it!!!

Yes - I have tried really hard this year to be all hand-made. Nana, sister, dad have all received something handmade so I am pleased with myself. Next year I hope it will be 100% homemade.
I have sewn two sew together bags for my mother in law and grandmother in law this year. I have also made 2 commission quilts for a lady from her grandmother's clothing that she will be giving on to her mother for Christmas

I have a list of gifts to make, but haven't started yet. I usually make pajamas for my son and niece and nephews. Easy, and I pick flannel prints that have something to do with their activities during the year. Keys for the new house, car fabric for first car. I'll be making a dress for my great niece, and have to decide for the great nephews.

I took on too many; a fabric playhouse with a PVC pipe frame for my girls, along with capes, and a quilt for my sister (I got it back from the quilter a month ago; I was on the ball for that one!), and fleece hats for everyone. Yikes!

Sewing this year? A big YES!! I made a quilt for every kid in the family - that is 7 total, all done, some mailed already!
I haven't made anything yet.
Cynthia, I've sewn or quilted almost all my gifts this year. Wristlets, koozies, pouches, totes w/makeup bags inside. Surely you have scraps to coordinate any of these. And pillowcases, yes, seasonal ones...make 4-5 for a special friend to change up when the season changes. Thank you so much for your generous giveaway.
I've sewn scarves, totes, zipper bags, baby blankets, burp pads, and pot holders . . . and have dozens more to go, but my machine broke today -- eeek! --- so I am desperately looking for a used machine so I can get back to work!
I'm not making any gifts this year but if I did I would make some "10 minute" table runners. They are quick to put together and always turn out cute.

So far for the holidays, I've made 6 fabric treasure bags, two twin sized quilts, and I'm working on a queen sized quilt and two pillows. I'm not sure I'll finish these, but I'm close. I got 2nd and 3rd degree burns on the inside of my leg, and that's slowing me down quite a bit. cdahlgren at live dot com
