WIP Wednesday - Park Bench

I thought I would share my progress on my Park Bench quilt.  I was able to find a bit of sewing time to finish up 2 more blocks this week.

Here is the first one - I love how big these hexagons are.

And the second one, which is my favorite.  This block is the Ball Game block.

Next up is the Hopscotch block.  I will be using some blues and oranges - Yum!

You can read more about this project in my initial post.

My first two blocks can be found here.

Now that I have started this project, I am finding it difficult to work on the many older projects in various stages around my sewing room.  I might have to hide this one away for a few weeks!

Such a nice combination of colors. I have this pattern and really need to pull it out sometime and make it. :)

Hope you find a good hiding spot.

Your blocks are beautiful! I actually subscribed to this one when it was a block of the month club, but I ended up just collecting the packets in a corner instead of sewing any of the blocks!

Yes, good luck on finding a good hiding spot for this. Since I am anxious to see more, I can't imagine how you feel :) It is going to be gorgeous!

I think they are great, and love the color selection you're using here. I'll bet you can't wait to put it all together.

I've been working (or maybe I should say not working ) on this for quite some time. Hopefully I can get it done over the summer. Your blocks look extra great. I've been struggling with mine a bit.

You are having fun with these blocks! Looking forward to seeing the next set. Since I don't have time to sew, I can live vicariously through you - thanks!

Keep that momentum going! (I put down Park Bench a year ago and haven't returned to it since!) It's fun constructing those big hexagons, isn't it?

Funny how some projects just suck us right on in, and we have tunnel vision... I admire Jaybird Quilts so much...such a smart and talented young lady to have created these quilts, done all the math, and created the rulers to make construction easier! I don't have any of her patterns, but I sure have admired them for a while...hmm I might have some birthday money to spend...
