June Goal - ALYoF

I have not been very focused lately on getting projects finished.  Part of the reason is that for the last two months, I have not been participating in  A Lovely Year of Finishes with Sew Bittersweet Designs.  I have discovered that setting a single goal each month to finish a project keeps me focused on getting it done!

So starting in June, I hope to get back in the habit of a monthly commitment.

I recently shared how I sort large volumes of scraps.  Among all those scraps were a few pink and gray fabrics that I found very inspiring.  I haven't worked out all the details yet, but I do hope to turn these into a baby quilt by the end of the month.  I have been thinking about playing with raw edge applique again and I think these scraps will work perfectly!

The only challenge will be to come up with a backing fabric.  I am not buying fabric for this so I might have to get creative on the back. I am sure in some dark corner I will find the perfect piece - I always do!

So how about it?  Are you ready to join me over at BitterSweet Designs and commit to what you hope to achieve this month?  I hope to see you there!

I might need to join in on having at least one project completed each month. As it is now, I try not to start anything new until I've finished something. The downside of that is that I do nothing which really isn't a solution.
I recently participated in two Quilt-Alongs and because there were deadlines for linking up, I managed to keep on track.

I am finding ALYOF to also be good motivation for finishing up various projects, but I am having trouble deciding for this month. This month may be a bit of a reach! Your baby quilt fabrics look great. Good luck finding that backing fabric!

It seems with me something always comes up and sidetracks me! Like yesterday when I nearly cut my thumb off with a utility blade!! I was so close to having my first finish of the month too! I love having set goals too and really need to get back in that mode. So much more gets finished!

You're pink and grey fabrics are so pretty.Isn't it funny how the right fabric/fabrics turn up when we need them so I agree that you'll find the perfect backing fabric waiting for you in your stash.

I have a great goal this month. My daughter is pregnant with a little girl and she wants pink and gray for her baby quilts. We are very excited and I have a lot more grays than pink so I am thinking I may have to shop!!!

Those are sweet colors together, great idea to turn them into a baby quilt. I like the addition of grey to it, not so traditional!
