Almost there!

This is just a quick post to share two more blocks I finished for my Park Bench quilt.  I just have one more block to sew and then it is time to start getting them up on the design wall and cutting all the low volume pieces for the background.

I have really enjoyed taking my time and sewing a couple of these big hexies every month.

Using the Hex N More and Sidekick rulers makes cutting these shapes a breeze.  Each time I get them out, my mind is flooded with so many quilt ideas!

I always enjoy seeing how fabric placement has such a drastic effect on how a block looks.

Here is a reminder of what the quilt will look like.  I bought this kit for a song on Craftsy.  While they no longer have this kit available, they do have the Gravity Block of the Month kit by the same designer (Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts).

I am hoping to get the quilt top finished by the end of the year so I can quilt it up in January.  Because this is one of my bucket list quilts, I want to be able to take my time quilting this one and not feel rushed.  Right after the holidays, my life always slows up a bit....Thank goodness!

How fun to get near the end of a bucket list quilt! I love seeing these blocks each month. I don't have the sidekick or hex n more rulers, do you need both rulers for this block? Seeing this block tempts me on picking up a set!

Yes! It is fun to see the dramatic changes that fabric choices make for the same block design. :)
