An Assembly Line Finish

With the sun coming out, I thought it was a great time to make some zippered eyeglass cases.  I love to pull fabrics and zippers to make a number of these pouches at once.  They go so much faster when you do them assembly line style!

I used my go to pattern 'Cash and Carry' by Atkinson Designs.  I love how simple all of the different configurations in the pattern are!

I quickly had 5 pouches completed.  I didn't have quite enough fabric so I made one a bit smaller.  I love how this pattern can even use up some fabric scraps.

Guess I should have made more.  My sister took three and I am using one so that just leaves the smaller one.  Which I will probably send off with a gift card tucked inside for an upcoming birthday.

I haven't had much time to sew lately so having these quick little finishes makes me feel productive.  And they are so useful too!

I hope the sun is starting to shine more where you are.  It is certainly spring here!

I don't make zipper pouches often, but when I do it's several at a time as well. It's always nice to make a quick project when time is tight. Your cases are adorable and who doesn't need one now and again? Look, your sister took three...!

Fun project, who wouldn't love one with a gift card inside! What a wonderful idea.

Those are so much fun! I love cute AND useful! I like the way that pattern has you finishing off the zipper ends. They look so neat and clean that way.

I have this pattern but have never used it. I need to rectify that soon! Thanks for the inspiration!

They look great. Even better when they are so well liked

Those look like an easy project. I'm the world's worst sunglass/reading glasses person. I have broken 4-5 pairs and it's only March! I tend to stick them down in the side of my purse unprotected and invariably break one of the arms off. Grrrr! Maybe I should look for this pattern and make me some. lol Question- it appears you have 2 zippers laid out for each one. Where do you use the 2nd one?

Thanks for sharing your zippered eyeglass cases. They all turned out so cute. You have great scraps in your stash. I inherited my Mom's stash of zippers and I have two drawers full of my own. I need to make a batch of zippered cases of all sizes. Thanks for linking up with this week's TGIFF.
