Hey, look what I just finished sewing the binding on!
This little quilt went from Happy Mail to finished in just 10 days.
Tucked in my Thanksgiving Craftsy order was a free charm pack of one of their Boundless fabric collections. I really didn't want to store it away in my stash so I decided to turn them into HSTs as a leader/ender project.
Last weekend, I sewed them up into a quilt top and this week I found some time to get it on my longarm frame. I will probably end up just donating this one so I quilted it with a simple stipple.
Quick and easy!
The quilt measures about 37 x 45 so I was able to use a single width of fabric for the backing. Luckily I had something in my stash that would work with this collection.
I always look forward to this time of year because I find myself with lots of time on my hands. My clients all have their quilts and are usually focused on the holidays and not sewing so it can be pretty quiet for me. It feels good to be able to focus on my own quilts!

Wow, amazing timeline and beautiful quilt. Wish I had some elves, plenty of quilts hanging around here to be quilted.
I think its fun when a quilt can be backed with a single width of fabric! What a great finish in only 10 days. :)
Yay for a quick finish! It looks lovely and I'm sure a child will love it.
A lovely finish! And so nice that you can spend some time sewing just-for-you too!
Very pretty.
What a sweet little finish. Good to have more time for yourself during this season especially.:)
I love that pattern! And you got it finished so fast! Good time of year to do something for yourself. What's next?
Zip, zip, done! You whizzed right through that one :) I like that backing fabric, even if I can't figure out what it is. Trees? Turkeys? Acorns?
Happy mail to finished in just 10 DAYS?!?! IN-credible!!!
What a lovely quilt. A fast finish is very satisfying!
I love how that turned out! HSTs make the best designs. It's going to make some lucky recipient so happy!
This is such a fun and quick quilt! Well done...time on your hands? Say it isn't so!!
Lots of time on your hands at this time of year? I am so jealous! But, really, good for you. I guess. Such a cute quilt, though, and a quick finish. Nice!
I have been catching up on your blog this morning. It is so much fun seeing what you have been up to since Thanksgiving. I love all the orphan block projects and this sweet little quilt. Your cleaning yields darling results, even if they were a distraction. ;) I usually have to clean after each project so I can think clearly. My mother-in-law even knows this and started putting some things away for me when I was helping her with a project.
