I decided to give the colorwash layout for my 4 patches one more try.
I was somewhat successful this time so my plan is to sew it up!
I made it a bit bigger this time and tried to better focus all the lights toward the center. I did have to make a lot of the blocks for the very center once I had all of the 4 patches I had made previously up on the wall. Yep! I used every last one.
So many of you had some great ideas for using my blocks. Some suggested using alternate blocks or neutrals but I REALLY wanted this one t be 100% scraps. Right now I am swimming in bits of fabric so the more I can squeeze into a quilt the better!

That looks amazing! And it reminds me of my longtime project "Neverending Story". My quilt shall look the same way, but my squares are cut 2"... Which size are your squares?

I like watercolor quilts, but never tried to make one. I would never be able to decide on a layout. Yours looks great.

I made several radiant nine patches in the past. It's amazing how light the centers need to be and how many fabrics it took for the darks. I like yours with so many colors. Beautiful. Keep up the scrapping.
