Happy Mail

About a month ago, I shared that I had entered my gray and plum bowtie quilt in the Fat Quarter Shop AGF Color Master contest.

Well, thanks to so many of you who went out and voted, I came in second place!  There were so many amazing projects, I was quite pleased to have won.

One of my winnings was a half yard AGF Color Master box.  I got to choose my color and decided to go with the winter wheat edition.  It is always so fun to receive fabric in the mail!

My stash of low volume fabrics is pretty depleted so having ten new half yard cuts to add to the mix makes me so happy.  I love that these boxes have such a nice selection of geometrics, solids and florals.

I have to admit that I think these Color Master boxes are brilliant.  I really like that they are by color and not collection.  It makes building up your stash so very easy.  And I love that you can buy either fat quarter or half yard cuts.

I am sure many more of these will land in my shopping cart in the future.

And while I am talking about fabric, there are a few great buys I want to bring to your attention.

Nesting Box Mystery Quilting Box

If you like subscription boxes, the Fat Quarter Shop currently has their Nesting Box on sale.  It is a limited edition mystery box that includes 11 charming items including fabric, notions and more.  The box retails for over $120 but they are selling it for only $74.98 plus shipping.

As a longarm quilter, quilts using Elizabeth Hartman's patterns are frequently on my frame.  I have enjoyed each and every one!  If you have been wanting to make one yourself, I see that Connecting Threads has all of her patterns 25% off right now.

Connecting Threads also has all of their wide backings on sale and has moved a number of their quilt kits to their clearance section.  I always love saving money!

Thanks so much for the support!
