After finishing my little Bunny Quilt top, I thought I would continue working on projects that I have held in my head using some of my older stash pieces.
I have had a one yard piece of an old Laurel Burch border fabric languishing in my stash. It was time to get it cut up and made into a quilt. I added a bunch of bright colored scraps cut to 2.5" square and set everything next to my machine.
The border fabric required some thinking on my part - I needed to get the best yield I could with some very selective fussy cutting. And it needed to create the design I had in my head. I ended up with two different 8" block designs.
Now I just need to find some time to sew!
Thank goodness the blocks go really fast :)

That's a Laurel Birch I haven't seen. Can't wait to see how this comes together.
I love Laural Burch and especially these borders. Great job - and I definitely agree that quilting is WAY more fun than housework - as my house can attest! LOL
Looking forward to seeing how this one ends up.
This one looks like fun
The border fabric is bright and fun and I think you came up with great blocks to feature it. I look forward to seeing how the quilt takes shape once you get them pieced!
Oh you're such a tease! I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to see what wonderful creation you have in the works!
I really like the direction this is going! I have a lot of odd, bright border pieces and really want to see how you put this together. I can always count on you for inspiring new ideas :)
Those colours in the first photo...looks so bright and vibrant.
I still have several Laurel Burch fabrics tucked away. I should really use them up.

Love her colourful fabrics, nice with your solids.
Fun and bright! Whatever you come up with will be beautiful!
What fun, bright colors! Question: Just how many pattern ideas are you holding in your head? It must be jammed pack in there!!! Bring 'em on!
The Laurel Birch fabric is so much fun - perfect to go with the bright squares! I'll enjoy seeing where you go with this!
Such gorgeous colours!! I can't wait to see this one completed. Thanks for linking to Sew, Stitch, Snap, SHARE.
