I made an Apron!

I have tried many times in the past to make garments or other wearable items like aprons.
Almost all of them were a total failure!

You would think with all the sewing I do, I could count on a success at least occasionally!

Well look at what I made!

I decided at the last minute that I needed an apron to wear in my booth at the Quiltopia Quilt Show this weekend.  I wanted pockets to put things like pens, receipt books and my cell phone.

I also wanted a few more secure areas for things like cash or change.  I found a pattern for one that was perfect here.  It required zippers, lined pockets, and other details but I decided to not be intimidated and just get it done.

And it turned out!  Now it is not perfect by any means.  But it is wearable and I am quite proud of it.  I love that it is short and everything I need is at my fingertips.  It will be perfect for me to wear...stop by my booth and I will show it off for you!

It's perfect!! I only wish I had one of those when I used to sit at my own craft booth.

that is pretty neat - great job and so many pockets to hold things is a very good idea

It looks great. I was looking for a pattern like this last year but couldn't find anything. Good luck with your booth.

Sweet! Well done, too. My friends don't get why I don't sew garments, "I mean you sew, right?" Not the same thing. Hope you enjoy it.
