Enough Color?

YIPPEE!!!  I finished up my quilt top.  Not sure I got enough color in this one!  (Giggles)

I made it using the Shadow Box pattern by Mountainpeek Creations as a guide.  I added another column of boxes, used two fabrics for the "shadows" (versus one) and dumped the wide outside border (I have never been a fan.)

All of the bright greens really make this the perfect springtime quilt!  I am really pleased with how it turned out.  Now to get it scheduled onto my longarm for quilting.  Soon this longtime WIP will be finished!

Linking up with Blossom Heart Quilts, Show and Tell Tuesday, WIP Wednesday and We Did It Wednesday.

I think the purple and green combo is great! The colors look great together! I like not having a wide border. I'm going to try that myself!

Oh my goodness, this quilt is stunning! The fabrics, the colors. Great job! I can't wait to see how you quilt it.

Quilting certainly is more fun than house work! What fabulous spring colours. Visiting from Blossom Heart Quilts Monday Link Up.

Fabulous! I might just ditch the outside border on mine too, great idea

I so love the Shadow Box pattern!! I used it (in part) in my grandson's grad quilt and it worked out so well! Sometimes it's difficult to find a good pattern that will showcase fabrics/prints w/o cutting them in to tiny pieces. I, also, like the way you used 2 colors for the "shadows". Can't wait to see the finish! Hugs, D

You are right, lovely colors for spring. I have a purple robe tree that has blooms in these colors.

This is just beautiful! Love the fabrics in it and yes I think a border would have taken away from the top!

I like the colors too - but I know the feeling - trying not to overdo color in my quilts has been my hardest lesson, one I still get wrong quite a bit. I have to learn that just because I "love" a fabric and it coordinates with the quilt does not necessarily mean it MUST be in the quilt :) Great finish, thanks for sharing!

Love it. I also believe it didn't need a border.

I'm not much of a border person either! Looks great!
