Finish Along Q3 Goals

I can't believe this year is already half way over and it is time to get together my 3rd quarter goals for Katie over at The Littlest Thistle for her Finish Along!  My focus this year is to get the many old unfinished projects out of my sewing room and focus on sewing up some of my older stash.  I have done a great job so far but there is still quite a bit to do.

(sigh!) The curtains for my kitchen are still not sewn.  This project was listed on both my Q1 and Q2 goals and I haven't even started them.
3rd quarter's a charm I say!

Last quarter, I did get a few other items finished for my kitchen.  I painted and reupholstered two chairs for the breakfast nook.  I always see all this great painted furniture and thought I would join in on the fun.....Let's just say it will be a long time before I paint furniture again!

And for a third seating space, I painted and reupholstered my grandmother's sewing bench. Now if I can just get those curtains done!

And to get an old project onto the done list, I hope to get this quilt top made into a finished quilt this quarter.  I am down to only 5 tops to be quilted and I think I started the year out with 12.

And did you see 100 quilts for kids is happening again this year?  Well, Heather at Quilts in the Queue has taken the reins so the next two projects will be donated to a local organization that helps kids as part of the program.  Thank you Heather!

I was given this plane panel and I thought it would make a fun boy quilt.  My aim on this is to make a larger quilt for a pre-teen age.  They are always in demand.

And a good friend of mine over made a huge pile of HSTs for a project she finished.  Rather than toss them, she offered them to me.  Not able to pass them up, I thought I would make them inot a quilt for an older child.

Well, that should keep me busy!.  Four more items I would love to get off my project list.  As always,  there will still be those new projects I want to start or the impulse "great" idea I get late at night.
I like to keep those design walls full.

So I had better get crackin'!

Cyndy, I love the painted furniture - expecially your grandmother's sewing bench. I wish I had a grandmother's sewing bench to paint!

Love your turquoise and orange together! It's fun to see the Fiesta ware dishes with our different projects!

The furniture you've painted and upholsters looks great. The quilt with the black background is just gorgeous, really bright and eye catching.
Well done - you seems to be a very busy gal.

Oh you are keeping me inspired! I must finish some of those UFO's... Loved your hand painted furniture pieces...sweet! I'm with you though...it always sounds like a good idea & they are SO cute when done, but the painting itself is rather tedious... ;0)

Your house must be a big burst colour around every corner! I love that blue & purple quilt too. I find my tastes are broadening to include these jewel tones & it's great! :-)
