Time to get Organized

I have been wanting to make a few of the work in progress bags by crazy mom quilts for what seems like ages.  Right now, many of my projects are stored in cardboard boxes on a shelf.  Being a very visual person, I am hoping being able to see the projects will help to remind me what I need to be working on.

I thought the #mayisformakers campaign was a great opportunity for me to finally purchase her pattern from Craftsy (where all the money goes directly to the independent designer).
I already have all of the supplies so not much is stopping me now!

Amanda Jean at crazy mom quilts loves her scraps!  She inspires me with almost every project she shares so I thought it was fitting that I thank her for her talents this month by buying another one of her patterns.

From my experience it definitely helps to be able to see your projects in progress (PIPs). I often find myself searching for a fabric I KNOW I purchased only to see it in a clear project box. Of course, then I'm faced with do I raid it or leave it be!

Amanda Jean's WIP bags are really cool. A great choice for May is for Makers too. I bet yours will be a big help to you Cyndy!

Those are such a good idea! You'll have to let us know how it works to sew on the clear plastic. I've never done that!

That is a great pattern. Are you going to use the bright fabrics in the photo for them?.

I have this pattern too! They are so much better than a ziploc bag and they have helped me 'wrangle' my projects. I can't wait to see how yours turn out!

I too have this pattern and have not used it....I really, really need to make one or two of these! My crafting space is super messy. I am off work in a few days and I have a few things on my list to tidy up. Great project for May is for makers.

I am with you on this one, Cynthia. If I can't see what I have..... Then I don't remember that I have it. What a great choice for your May is for Makers pick of the week!

Good idea Cynthia. I definitely like to keep an eye on what projects are in process. I have been using those little bags that sheets come in - they are plastic and have a zipper. However they are not attractive by any means and I suspect yours will be very pretty! Hope you will share them when you finish up!

I love your jar of colorful zippers! With all that pretty fabric, those will make some lovely bags! I'm looking forward to seeing the finishes.
