This year, I decided to do something a bit different for one of my Rainbow Scrap Challenge quilts. Each month I made various blocks that represent things found in my garden in the designated color. I love seeing all these fun designs but I have never wanted a whole quilt made with the various block.
So this way, I had the joy of making each block and putting them all together into a fun quilt.
I enjoyed searching the internet for each block design. And many, I simply designed using graph paper and a pencil.
Some of my favorite blocs are the apples, pear and the tomato.
I not only included various fruits, vegetables and flowers, but you can find lots of my garden friends and foes in my quilt.
Even the imperfect bee is busy pollinating my flowers!
I pulled a dotted backing from my stash and added a striped binding from a fabric I have been trying to use for years.
This bright quilt will definitely be appreciated during the winter months when I miss the bounty of color, food and enjoyment I get out of my gardens.
It will keep me cozy as I earmark my seed and gardening catalogs dreaming of spring!

Making your rainbow scrap quilt in this way was a great idea..... And the finished project is beautiful!
So cute! The birdhouse is still my favorite block.
Fun! I'm crazy about the pear block, but the scrappy low-volume background has me ooing and ahhing, too. : )
Hi Cynthia, what a great colourful quilt. That must have been lots of fun to make, including finding and drawing the blocks! If you feel like it, please consider linking up to Free Motion Mavericks.
What a unique quilt! And fabulous too! Congratulations! I love it from apple to zucchini. I think my favorite is the Morning Glories. Fantastic work! ;^)
This is a gorgeous quilt and I have really enjoyed seeing you build the blocks over time. Fantastic finish, well done.
This is so great! It must be so fun to look at in person. I think my favorite block is the apples, too, but I have enjoyed seeing them all as you shared them. Wonderful finish, Cyndy!
So fun, and meaningful for you! Fantastic to see your completed project come together. You're ready to dream of spring!
A beautiful finish. I think it will brighten your room during the bleak days of winter when color is at a minimum outside the windows.
What a clever and darling quilt! It turned out great, and I even love all the scrappy background fabrics. I’m with Libby; the birdhouse block is my favorite!
It's been fun to watch this quilt "grow". I need to try a quilt that uses various size blocks with fillers in between.

This quilt tickles me to no end! I love that each block is distinctly scrappy and wonderfully edible :) Congratulations on your RSC finish!
That turned out great! I love all the blocks and how you puzzled it together!! I knew you'd knock it out of the park!
This seems to be the most creative of any of your beautiful quilts. You will be able to have sunshine and flowers all through the winter, what a treat!
What a fun quilt! Love every bit, especially that little hen.
Such a fun, whimsical quilt! Fantastic finish!
Your blocks have been making me smile all year, and the final quilt is absolutely fantastic! So much charm in your birds and your bees. (And your veggies and flowers!)

I love this finish so much! I really enjoyed seeing what you would make each month with that color. I must have missed the chicken the first time but am glad to see her now. This is just so much fun!
