This last week was very busy for me, so there was very little sewing in my schedule.
When I did find a few minutes to spend in my sewing room, I worked on turning some gifted scrap triangles into some 4.5" HSTs. When I am making blocks, a trick I use is to count a stack of 10 and then slightly turn the stack before I add the next ten. This way they are easy to count once you need a final tally - you can just count by tens!
I decided to use some Shadow Kona cotton from my stash to pair with the triangles. It is barely gray and will work with most of these prints. Some get pretty low volume but I think it will be fine.
Not sure yet how I will be using these HSTs. The colors are kind of all over the place but that just means it will be easy to add fabrics from my scraps if I need more blocks.

I haven't used Kona Shadow in a quilty project yet - will have to look for some the next time I'm at my favorite quilt shop that has a good Kona supply. Hope you have some time for a little sewing today, Cyndy!
Sorry you had a crazy week. Hopefully this week will be calmer and you can get in some good stitching time on your projects.
Kona Shadow is one of my go to background colors. Barely gray, but not bright white. Sometimes just piecing together a few blocks is all the time we get, but when it's time to make a quilt you'll have all the parts and pieces ready to go!
I've never tried out Kona Shadow..it looks like it will go so well with your triangles...

Hum, I need to find some Kona Shadow and see what it looks like in person. It seems blush pink on my screen. Hopefully this week you'll have more stitching time.
