I am extremely blessed that a lot of my clients share their scraps with me. Every once in a while, long after I have quilted their masterpieces, they purge their scraps and bring me a bag of their treasures.
So it was fun this week to see the quilt on my frame where I was already using the gifted scraps.
Aren't the colors on this one yummy?!
I shared not long ago how I was creating some HSTs using Kona Shadow and some gifted scrap triangles from a friend.
Well, I am ready to share the little quilt I made with them.
I really wanted to take some outdoor photos with some of the blooms out in my gardens but the lighting was horrible. All the sunshine we have been getting has brought spring to our area a few weeks early.
(I should probably pick those daffodils because I think the rain is coming and they are soon to be pelted into the mud I fear.)
Here is an indoor photo that shows the colors in the fabrics a bit better. The HSTs finished at 4" so this quilt measures 36" x 40". Small but sweet!
I pulled a silly word bubble fabric from my stash that says "Zzzz...". I found this years ago on a sale rack and even though I bought quite a few yards, I wish I had bought the rest of the bolt.
It is the perfect backing fabric!
I hope all of you have a fantastic weekend spending it in a way that makes you happy!

that is nice to get from others - sometimes I wonder why some do not use their scraps - do they not realize what they can create - or do they only like to use larger pieces? they are missing out on the wonderful scrap quilts they could create
I love that off-center diamond layout. I used the same one for my daughter's Christmas quilt. Makes scraps shine!
Love that client quilt on your frame! I also love how you used up her scraps, and made such a great design out of them. That's a sweet little finish, Cyndy!
I love your scrappy "friend" quilt. The colors go together so well! In fact, I love your off- set diamond quilt, the jazzy backing fabric and your daffodils. I live north of you near Seattle and I'm still waiting for our daffies to bloom. They are taking their sweet time.
Have a wonderful Spring!
What fun it is to use scraps from others. Great finish!!!
Just perfect!!! I love how versatile HSTs are.
Definitely yummy scraps in the quilt on the frame, what size will the quilt be? Your second small HST quilt is another little treasure, very effective setting.
Boy that is a gorgeous quilt on your frame. Love those scraps and what you made with them!
The quilt on your frame is gorgeous! You made good use of those scraps and the last of your bubble print on the back. Congrats on another finish!
Ho fun and colorful those are!
