Oh Scrap! : Green is the Color for May

Looks like I will be getting out my green scraps this month.  Dark green is the Rainbow Scrap Challenge color for May.

But before I get out my green scraps, I thought I would finish up sewing my green selvages.  I already had the lime green started but I spent this week finishing all the other greens.

To date I have 6 colors finished.  I haven't decided if I am going to just add blues and purples or if I am going to add some neutrals like black, gray and brown to the mix.  I certainly have enough selvages!

I have also sewn all of my homespun scraps into blocks.  Now I just have to cut the sashing and finish up the top.  I have it scheduled to get quilted next week so I had better get moving!

Time for you to share your scrap quilting....what are you working on?!

I rarely have selvage edges to use - I buy fat quarters mainly and so often there is no edge on them what you are doing looks good

Love your selvage blocks as well as the homespun ones. And I'm whining because we are having to get back into our green scrap bins - waaaaaaah!

Love what you did with those Homespuns. Was there a lot of block trimming involved??

Your selvage are looking so fun! I want to get up close and read them! Looks it takes a lot of them to get even as many blocks as you have there. Do you have friends who give them to you? Have a great Sunday, Cyndy!

Nice job on working some Dark GREEN into your selvage blocks for the RSC, Cynthia!! You've made good progress on those homespuns. Best of luck on finishing the top in time to meet the quilting schedule!

Wow, that's a lot of selvedges, all seen nicely together. What is your plan with these, I wonder?
Like everyone else, I love the homespun check blocks, it makes such a difference adding the xs to them. I'm sure you have inspired many of us with your great ideas. Thanks so much, your blog is always a fun read.

ALL your homespun scraps? In my experience when I think I've used all of something and thus change the design plan -- that's when I discover more of whatever it was.....The color-coded selvedges are nifty!

You have been busy! I cannot believe how many selvages you have! The more I see your homespun blocks the more and more I love them. I am getting anxious to see the top finished with the sashing!

Hum... did you use most of your homespuns? It looks like you got a lot of sewing done over this week. The seal edges look cool.

I just LOVE your selvage strips! I've never sewn with them or even saved them . . . and yet I save all kinds of little scraps. Your plaid blocks look wonderful too. Plaids are another thing I don't have in my stash. But I do have greens.
