I told you it is a Fast Finish

Wednesday morning I shared how my recent fabric pull came together.

If you missed it, here are the fabrics that I put together from my stash.  They were the perfect size cuts for me to make my Wiggle Time quilt pattern.

I said in my post that it is a quick and easy pattern.
I cut and sewed my quilt top Thursday afternoon!

I admit, I have this pattern memorized so I can speed through it really quickly.  I am excited by how it turned out so I wanted to share it today.

It started raining here and I live in a little 1940's bungalow with small windows and tiny rooms so I am always challenged with indoor photos.  I tried one photo in my office next to the stationary bike I should be riding...

Then I tried in my narrow kitchen.

I even tried to drape it on my longarm frame but it always looked so washed out.

So I went outside and moved the furniture under my gazebo to snap a photo there.  But even outdoors the quilt top looks a bit washed out.  It is so much prettier in person!

Yeesh! I think I spent more time trying to get a good photo then I did sewing the quilt top.

Now I need to find a backing.  I know that is going to be a huge challenge.  If nothing else, I know I have some Kona Snow that I can use.  I might even be able to sneak it on my longarm frame this weekend. Fingers crossed!

(Did you know that I have Pinterest boards for all of my quilt patterns?  I pin all the quilts I find that are made from the pattern.  Here is a link to my Wiggle Time board if you want to see more quilts.  And if you make a quilt from the pattern, I hope you share your finish with me!)

Great finish! I know what you mean about lighting. I bought some LED light boxes on stands that I use and it has greatly helped.

It’s a dynamite finish! I’m going to be needing to make a gender neutral baby quilt soon and this just might be the one!

I went to the Pinterest board and saw the I-Spy version which is really cute. There's always room for a quick and easy quilt.

I love it. I can tell by the photo of your fabrics how it should look. I have probably spent more time trying to find the best lighting and photo areas than anything lately. I'm trying to find that "sweet spot" where all my quilts can be photographed well. That said, I am still looking. LOL

It looks great! I bet you've already found a great backing, given that I'm catching up and a day or so behind in my blog reading. ;)
