Look What I Found

Being an introvert, I have to admit I have kind of enjoyed not having guests in my home for over a year.  The downside is I haven't spent much time keeping things neat and organized.  So lately I have been slowly working my way through my house making sure everything is where it belongs and tidy.

One of my recent projects was to go through all of the quilts I currently have and decide which ones I am keeping, which I am donating and which I am going to list in my Etsy shop.

Way in the bottom of a cabinet, I came across this quilt I had made 5 or 6 years ago and I don't think I ever shared it on my blog.

I love the scrappy light gray squares.

I think the original plan on this design was to either submit it for publication or to write a pattern.  That all must have sounded like too much work so I stuffed it in the cabinet.

There is a really fun plaid homespun on the back that I don't remember ever owning.
Finding this was like finding buried treasure!

I finished my task and now all of my quilts are organized again.
But now I have to find the time to get a few listed on Etsy....(Not one of my favorite tasks!)

I am still spending as much time as possible outside enjoying my gardens.
Flowers continue to inspire with their beautiful colors.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I know what you mean, it was kinda nice not having company! But I missed the grandsons a bunch. Oh that is a fun quilt you found, I like the design. Good luck getting them all listed.

Glad you found that quilt. Beautiful colors and pattern. I have to go through my quilts too, I think some can be listed on Etsy as well. Beautiful flowers, enjoy your garden and nice weather when you can.

I'd make us lunch if you'd come tidy up for me in southern OR. LOL I LOVE, LOVE your blue and gray quilt, Cynthia, and wonder if the dark blue horizontal lines are the sashing....Hope you will write the pattern; it looks like a winner to me! And I'm not a blue fan so much but love the design.

Oh, I used to have some of that same focal fabric! Your quilt is lovely. You should definitely write the pattern. I haven't really seen anything like it elsewhere. And, your flowers are beautiful!

It's amazing what we can find when rummaging around in cupboards or drawers! You have a beautiful daylily there and I've never seen a columbine that colour before. What is the pink flower, I wondered if it was a Kalmia shrub.
