Every year in the spring, there is a fantastic event - it is called Hands2Help. Over the years, this event has prompted thousands of quilts to be donated to various organizations.
I think I have been participating since 2015.
To read more about this event, head on over to this post at The Academic Quilter. The event is usually hosted by Sarah over at Confessions of a Fabric Addict but due to personal reasons, she was unable to this year. So the wonderful Mari stepped up and offered to take it over for 2022.
Hands2Help is a comfort quilt challenge where quilters from all corners of the country, and many from other countries, make and donate comfort quilts. This will be the twelfth year of the challenge! You can make as many quilts as you like, but the challenge only asks for you to make and donate one quilt in any size by June 1, 2022.
All of the quilts in this post are some of the ones I have donated to this event in the past. The quilts don't have to be extra fancy. Pulling fabric from your stash or even using your scraps is all that is needed.
I hope you decide to join in the fun. It is for such a great cause!
I am already signed up for this year and busy planning what quilts I will make.
If you need some ideas for what to make, I am offering a 20% discount on all of my patterns in my Etsy Shop for this event. Just use the promo code HANDS2HELP when you check out. I will be offering this discount promo through April 9th 2022.
This includes all of my Scrap Mixology Modules so get out
those scraps and start sewing!
Let's have the best year yet for the event!
