That was Fast!

Just a few days ago, I shared how I was using some leftover strip sets to make a fun little baby quilt.

I loved how it was turning out so in no time I am ready to share my finish!

I started out with these leftover strip sets that I adopted from a friend.

I dug through my stash and found a fun print that I liked with them and started making some large HSTs.  Then it was just a matter of playing with the layout.

I decided to go with this barn-raising design.

Originally, I thought this chevron pattern would be fun but with just these 16 blocks, it seemed unfinished.

I had just enough of the print to also add a border around the blocks.
The quilt measures about 40" square.

I "stole" this print for the backing from the same friend who gave me the strip sets.  It was perfect for this little quilt.  I bound it in the same solid red that I used for the little stop border.

I love it!

I am always so pleased when I turn some leftovers into a quilt that looks like it was planned all along.
This one will probably go into my Etsy shop for a bit and then if it doesn't sell, it will go with the stack of baby quilts to be donated.

I know it will find a home!

So fun. The backing is perfect, and I like the way the inner red border and binding work as a double frame.
