CIL Quilt Finish #1

Quilts go together so quickly when others make the blocks!

I already have the first Covered in Love quilt ready to share.

For this first one, I alternated the direction of the blocks.  This is different than the way the blocks were designed.  I always like to mix it up and see if I can see any alternate patterns emerge.

So many pretty fall-colored scraps in these.

The backs were even already pieced together for these tall nine quilts.

All I had to do was load it on my longarm and quilt it up.

I continued the autumn feel and quilted some vertical leaves in a light brown thread.

I already have the second one all quilted and just need to finish the binding.  Next you will get to see how the blocks were intended to be configured.

So stay tuned!

The quilted leaves are a great compliment to the colors (and prints) in the blocks. I love that you explore alternate layouts, so it will be fun to see the next version for comparison! :) I hope you have a lovely weekend.

That's so fun! You can hardly tell where the blocks start and stop - just lots of fun color skipping around the quilt. I do love the fall colors!
