Covered In Love 2022

A few posts back, I mentioned I would soon be receiving a big box containing a bunch of blocks from Kat to use to finish a bunch of Covered in Love quilts.

The box arrived...do you want to see what blocks I received?

I received enough of the Tall Nine blocks to make 4 quilts.  Kat did such a fantastic job organizing everything on these, I was able to get sewing right away.

I almost have a quilt top completed already!

I also received enough of the Oh My Stars to make three quilts.  I know these are a favorite.

I might try to see if I can get creative and stretch these into 4 quilts.  It will depend on what I can come up with from my stash and what fabric is here to use.

You know I love a challenge!

If you want to find out more about CIL you can follow this link.

And a big thanks to those that donated blocks and fabrics to help make these quilts happen!

Stay Tuned - I should be sharing some finished quilts in a couple weeks.

It's going to be fun to see what you do with the Tall Nines blocks! And the r, w, and b stars always make great quilts, too. I've gotten away from making blocks for CiL, and need to get back to them. I should go see what the current block drive is!

I really enjoyed making those tall 9-patch blocks and the fall colour palette. I look forward to seeing them put together--thank you for doing it!

Wow, that's amazing. It's always so inspiring to see you work on these each year. 7 quilts is wonderful, and stretching to 8 would be fantastic if there's enough fabric to do that. It will be lovely to see these all come together. Because you make so many donation quilts, how do you handle batting? Have you been able to find a company willing to donate some batting to you to help offset how much you need to purchase?
