The end of the year will be here in no time at all. So we are already prepping for the big shipments of kid quilts starting late summer. Here are some we finished this week.
This fun car quilt is all flannel and super cuddly. Kristin sent in the quilt top and the backing. Local quilter Cindy quilted it up for us. She has a small machine setup, so she likes the tiny ones!
We received a couple bear panels (originally for making pillows), but we are using them for some small Happy block quilts. I think we have two if the panels so you will probably see another similar quilt soon. Karen sent in the cute teddy bear backing.
Here is another fun quilt top sent in by Kristin. She also sent in this bold flannel plaid backing. This is another quilt that was sent to Cindy for finishing. She always does such a lovely job.
Our board member Penny made this Winnie the Pooh quilt top. She even supplied that backing. This quilt was sent off to local quilter Laura for finishing. Penny has been busy trying to sew up her stash and scraps and making donation quilts.
This quilt is all about construction machinery. Kristin sent in a kit for this one - All the fabric was there for local volunteer Charlene to sew up. The flannel backing had to be pieced some, but it still turned out cute. This is another little quilt that was sent to Cindy for finishing.
And finally, this little quilt actually started with the backing. One of the fabric "Pickers" brought me this fun red superhero quilted fabric and hoped I could use it. We pulled some fun blocks to go with it and I loaded it up on my longarm. It actually quilted up quite nicely and I didn't need to use any batting. That is always a win!
(Not sure what Janet is looking at. I am guessing a dog walked by and she lost her focus.)
Next week I should have quite a few adult quilts to share. We are finally back up to almost finishing a quilt a day. That makes me really happy!

So many cute little quilts! I love the backings as much as the fronts. Can you use quilts that are about 50x50? I seem to have made some quilts that size that need homes!
That's a lot of kids quilts. It's fantastic that you are up to almost a quilt finish a day!!
What a beautiful parade of kid quilts! That bear is super cute!
Such fun kids quilts. Your group is definitely one group of busy elves.
I think Janet is yelling at you to hurry UP.
