Oh Scrap! : More Bow Ties

I thought I would finish the blocks I needed for my scrappy Bow Tie quilt this week.

I am using up scraps left over from our Two Step Autumn block drive we did last year.
I made the ten blocks I needed - only to realize I needed twenty blocks.  Sigh...

I guess I should look at it as a win.  Ten more blocks mean more scraps will get used.  And I certainly have lots of scraps still.  In fact, I might just continue on and make enough blocks for another quilt.

These blocks are 8.5" and are made using 4.5" and 2.5" squares.
They are certainly quick to make!

It is now your turn to share what you are making with scraps.  Here are the details for linking up:

  • This linky party is for any scrappy project - It can be in-process or a finished piece.
  • You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features your use of scraps.
  • If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. So if you are writing about scraps, just get into the habit of including a link as there will be a linky party available every week!
  • If you are using Instagram, please use the hashtag #ohscrap.
  • This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
  • Following my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!

Bowtie blocks are one of my favorites to make! Yours are going to make a cozy and comforting quilt. It will be fun to see how you decide to put them together in the quilt top. Have a great Sunday, Cyndy!
