I am running a bit late with this post. Yesterday was a big fundraising event for Many Hands and Many Hearts so I have a ton of stuff to put away and organize. We did really well so I am hoping we will be able to get some items, like an up-to-date website, paid for.
Now for some of this week's finishes. We are still heavily focused on getting some of the donated quilt tops finished. Now that we don't have to worry about running out of batting for a while, we can hi these even harder!
The first ne is this lovely pink and red pinwheel quilt. A lot of the prints have little hearts on them. Kristin donated both the quilt top and the backing. I haven't decided where I will donate this one yet. It will make a great quilt for both a teen and an adult.
I love this little scrappy brown and pink quilt top that Kristi sent in. She also donated the pink and brown fabric you se on the back. It wasn't quite big enough, but we just added a brown from our stash. Then it was all sent out to local longarm quilt Laura for quilting and binding.
Janet is a little height challenged so some of these bigger quilts are a little hard to photograph. This quilt top was sent in by Nann. Love the play of big and little blocks. Nann also sent in a bunch of yard cuts of the same metallic collection on the quilt front for the backing and binding. We still have fabric that we will be able to be on a future quilt.
Kristin also sent in this strippy quilt top made from Kaffe fabric with a fun chevron fabric on the back. These are such fun summery colors.
And finally, here is another scrappy string quilt top made from the blocks that Marci sends us.
There will be many more of these scrappy blocks from Marci - we are still working on her last shipment, and she says more are coming soon!
We put a flannel fabric on the back (thanks Kristin) - we are going to save this one for an older child when we send quilts out this fall.
Whew - that is it for today. Janet has been spending time with her mom so there are lots of quilts to photograph later this weekend.
Even with all the chaos of the event, we have still been putting out quilts!

such pretty quilts every one!
Wow! So many finished works and they're all so pretty. I wish I was as prolific as you. This time of the year it's hard for me to get into quilting it's more of a cold weather thing for me. There's too much gardening and weeding to do this time of year but I love looking at what others are doing. Bravo on your finishing all these quilts, it must feel really good.
I'm so glad to hear the fundraising went well and I hope it helps pay for getting those items on your wish list updated!
These are all wonderful. I love your scrappy backings. Great job on the fundraiser. It's terrific to know that you're now able to stock up on some basic supplies.
