Hope all of you survived the weekend. My dog Arthur had surgery on the 2nd so he has been pretty bored - no running, jumping or rough-housing. I can tell you it has been a challenge!
I did finish the last few blocks I needed for the autumn bowtie quilt. Each block measures 8.5" unfinished. I haven't sewn the blocks together yet, but I do have the blocks all stacked up next to my machine now. I had lots of options for layouts but I decided to keep it simple.
I can't say I used up a lot of the autumn-colored scraps we have - but I do think we made a small dent in them. I might have to make a second bow tie quilt to use more of them up.
Happy Sunday!

That is my favorite layout for bow tie blocks! These will make a beautiful quilt in all the fall colors. How long does the "no playing" rule go for Arthur? I hope not too much longer! That doesn't sound like much fun for either of you. Have a good Sunday, Cyndy!
Nice collection of fall fabrics in your bow tie blocks! This will be a very handsome quilt.
It is hard to believe we are already into July and Autumn isn't far behind. Your layout looks great! Our dog wasn't happy until she had both of us safely tucked into bed on the Fourth. We had more displays of fireworks this year than we have had in all the years we have lived here. I hope Arthur has healed enough to return to his play routines.
Thank you! Your brown bow tie blocks are lovely. I hope that Arthur is permitted to resume his normal activities soon; it's hard to enforce rest when they feel like playing.
Love your Bow Ties! It will be a lovely fall finish
It's hard to make a dent in the scraps, it's like they reproduce overnight! But it s going to be a fun quilt.
