Sorry about the lateness of my post. I wrote it yesterday but forgot to publish it.
I am still working through a bunch of scraps for Many Hands and Many Hearts. In addition to our sew day in September, we are doing a craft table in November so many of our scraps are going to be used to make some small saleable items.
I saw I had a lot of floral chunks (mostly trimmings from backings) so I thought I would also make some simple blocks. I not only had enough blocks to make a quilt finished in one afternoon, but I am also now working on blocks for a second one.
The scrap pile is actually diminishing!

It is now your turn to share what you are making with scraps. Here are the details for linking up:
- This linky party is for any scrappy project - It can be in-process or a finished piece.
- You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features your use of scraps.
- If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. So if you are writing about scraps, just get into the habit of including a link as there will be a linky party available every week!
- If you are using Instagram, please use the hashtag #ohscrap.
- This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
- Following my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!

Wait--you're saying scraps actually diminish lol? You must be sewing faster than me! That's a good pattern for your florals and will be a nice quilt.
It must be so encouraging to see the scrap pile diminishing. Kudos to you! ;^)
That's a nice block you are making from florals, do you mind sharing the cutting sizes with me?
Reading the line, "The scrap pile is almost diminishing", brought a smile to my face! I gifted my scraps to a friend who is confined to home/online shopping, however, your link up has inspired me to save my "strippers" to make a strip quilt. Thank you!
Those blocks will make a pretty quilt! I like the floral theme. Hope you're having a relaxing Sunday, Cyndy!
Ive been thinking of using that same pattern with florals. I haven't tried it yet but the thought is there! Yours look good. And terrific that the scraps are diminishing....
Sounds like you are starting to see some progress with all the scrap cutting and other projects. Happy stitching this week.
Your floral blocks look great! Congratulations on your "diminishing" scrap collection; I have yet to notice much change in mine so far. Have a good week.
Those floral scrap blocks are going to make a lovely quilt!
