Today's scrap project is brought to you by my dog Arthur. Twice this week, he has grabbed a plastic bag and ran through the house leaving a trail of HSTs in his wake.
I finally decided to just give him the plastic bag to destroy, and I would do something with the tiny bits inside. Were they trash or treasure?
I don't usually play with tiny. But these 2"(?) HSTs were all made so beautifully, I felt like I should at least sew them up into some blocks - even if they ended up on the orphan block pile.
I ended up making ten 7.5" blocks. I was going to stop at nine, but I had an idea for a layout and decided to eek out one more (the upper left one). I think I only had 4 HSTs leftover.
I also worked on my blue pinwheels this week but I didn't get any photos.
I am still cutting away on the big pile of scraps covering my dining room table - if I would quit adding more, I would be finished with it by now!

I think Arthur was on to something! Those are sweet blocks- looking forward to seeing what you do with them. Have a great Sunday, Cyndy!
What an interesting way to use those two inch HSTs! How funny about Arthur wanting a plastic bag! Our animals give us joy most of the time. ..I can just see him wag his butt when approached to give up the bag! How can you not smile at that?
Good old Arthur, he really wanted you to something with those HSTs. And you did! I don't like working with tiny either.
Arthur, you rascal! He was just trying to help. And, you did a great job putting the HSTs to use. Looking forward to seeing what you do with them.
What cute blocks! You have made such a nice variety of blocks from Arthur's hsts. I hear you about the table full of scraps, lol, I've got one right now too. It's worth it!
Beautiful blocks.
Yikes. Dogs can ingest little plastic scraps and develop intestinal blockages. Maybe a different toy? The blocks are lovely!

Isn't it funny what dogs decide is their toy? My pup stole an empty plastic peanut jar, and it was her favorite for quite a long time. She'd chase it around all through the house. Your HST blocks are great!
Beautiful blocks. Lovely colours and patterns! Warm greetings from Montreal, Canada.
