Apologizing for the shadowed photos. Janet came over early and I was still in my PJs. I wanted to spend as little time as possible outside!
Karen sent in this lovely quilt top and backing. It looked like a simple pattern that uses 2.5" strips.
Another quilt top made with 2.5" strips. Kristin made this one and sent in a pieced backing fabric. She just sent in these quilt tops but they have been jumping to the front of the line. I have been so busy, I haven't had time to sew backings. Her current shipment has tops that are ready to go right to my longarm frame. Now that my big event is finished, I hope to get back to prepping some other quilt tops in the queue.
Kristin also sent in this fun comic themed quilt top and backing. Some kid is going to love this one!
I admit, I am intrigued by this quilt top sent in by Kristi.. The colors and prints all work well together but the pink is the only flannel in the whole quilt top. It gives the quilt such a wonderful texture. The whole time I was sewing on the binding, I kept petting the quilt top.
Janet was excited when she saw this quilt top because she could finally use the purple hippo flannel that Kristin sent in. Janet has been a bit obsessed with it since it arrived.
Penny made this quilt top from some flannel leftovers she had. I think the flannel for the backing even came out of her stash. The weather is just starting to cool down here, so all these flannel quilts are going to be in demand soon.
Everyone had a fun time at our recent Fundraising Sew Day....we are already scheduling one for the spring. I will let you know what block we will be making then as the date nears. But I am pretty sure they will be for Veterans.
Hope you are having a great week!
