Hearts and Veterans

A few finishes to share today...

Here is another heart quilt made from the low volume 9-patch blocks.  We didn't get a lot of these blocks so I have been limiting the finishing of these so each shipment gets one until they are all gone.  local quilter Terry quilted this one up.  And the lovely backing fabric was sent in by Jean.  I am going to be sad when these blocks are all used.

Maybe it will have to be a future Sew Day block.

I don't think I ever shared this lovely RWB scrappy quilt.  It has already been delivered to our hospital, but I can no longer find who made the top or who sent in the backing.  Too bad because this is really a lovely quilt.  I think I am just tired tonight and can't find it on my list.  I wish we had more of this amazing backing fabric - flags and fireworks!

I know who made this quilt top.  It was made from our stash of RWB string blocks.  Some were made by me - others arrived in shipments with various block drive packages.  The backing is a wonderful fleece fabric that Wilma brought with her from California.  One of her friends sent us a total of 4 big pieces of fleece.

Between the seams on the front and the fleece on the back, this is one heavy snuggly quilt!

Hopefully, I will have more time this week to share some more finished quilts.  Janet came over and we were able to take a bunch of photos.  Lots more to share!
