Oh Scrap! : Some of my Scrap Quilts

I know you are probably tired of me saying it, but it was another busy week! But I am hoping by the end of March, I might get a breather until late summer. Fingers crossed!

It was fun to see some of the scrap quilts I put together crossed the finish line this week.  This pretty snowball quilt was made from a bunch of pink and purple scraps.  The inspiration was some pansy fabric I had a small piece of.  Nann sent in the backing fabric and board member Bev quilted this one.

I also made these floral blocks from our scraps.  I made enough for two quilts, but the second pile is still waiting for me to sew them together.  I think this backing came from an estate.  It looks so pretty on the back - I hope it finds its way to someone who loves flowers.  A big thanks to Terry for quilting it.  She has been longarm quilting a lot of our quilts this year.

I need to get back to making more blocks from our scraps.  They are slowly building up on us again.  There are a lot of pinks and greens so maybe a snowball/nine-patch combination.  Hmmm.

But first, I need to get through our two fundraising events in April.  A big sew day and a pizza event.   If you are local, reach out and I can tell you more about them!

Oh Scrap! : It's a Flimsy

First, I need to apologize for failing to post the link up last week.  In my mind I thought I had written the post.  Once I realized I had forgotten, it was late on Sunday, and I was taking a much-needed day off.

I was scheduled to share more of my bowtie blocks, but I am prouder of the fact I sewed all my scrappy snowball blocks into a flimsy.  It was very nice to see all these scraps find a home.  I will definitely be making more scrappy snowball quilts - that's for sure.

If you want to link up the post you were planning to last week, feel free to share it today.  We don't want to miss any of your scrappy posts.
