I'll Count the Finish

I knew if I put my UFO fabric on my cutting board that something might get done.

I did get my tablecloth sewn for my little kitchenette.  I have a tutorial available for making the mitered corners.  This is the same technique I use for cloth napkins and curtains.

The fabric I used was just a bit small but it will work fine for right now.
(Obviously I don't use this space because there is always so much stuff on the table.)

Another finish I am celebrating today is I completed the log cabin flimsey.  I found a backing and I am just waiting for time on my longarm to finish it up.  I love how it turned out and I can't wait to share it!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Annie's now has a Charm Pack Club.  If you love these pre-cuts, you not only get two a month but you also have access to lots of patterns for using them.

Oh The Goodness!

There was a giant box of goodness that landed on my doorstep this afternoon...

Kat contacted me to see if I could help out again getting some Covered in Love blocks turned into some quilts.  She remembered I got really bored making a bunch of the same quilts last time so in the box I found enough red, white and blue blocks to make three quilts.

I always love to see all the different star blocks in these quilts so I am excited about getting these put together and petting all the lovely blocks..

There was also a giant stack of a colorful block she calls FiddleSticks.  She said there are enough blocks for two quilts.  So muany scrappy bits in these!

I also received enough of these blocks to make a couple quilts.  I think this block was from her last block drive.

Kat does such a great job getting together all the blocks, backings and even the bindings.  It makes putting them together and quilting them a breeze!

I know many of you participate in these block drives so I will share the quilts as I finish them.  Any preference for which ones you want to see first?

I also thought I would take this opportunity to remind everyone that the Hands2Help donation quilt drive will be coming up soon.  I think signups are in March and I am already planning my quilts.   Covered in Love will be one of the charities where you can donate this year.   Or you can make some blocks for her current block drive.

I use colorful background fabrics all the time for my scrap quilts.  Some of my favorites are available at Connecting Threads.  I just saw they have a great sale on some of their Basics and Blenders.  So many pretty colors are available!

Oh Scrap! : Pinwheels

I love it when I arrive at a plan!

I have a bunch of these cute little 4.5" pinwheel blocks in blue stacked up on my ironing board.

They are leftover bonus triangles from this scrappy quilt I made.

This year I decided to make a similar quilt for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge so I am ending up with even more little pinwheels.

Well, I finally decided to combine the two projects into these cute pinwheel blocks.  Each block will have two blue and two RSC pinwheels.  So far, I have completed pink and yellow.  I also plan on adding a tiny colorful cornerstone in each.  At the end of the year, there should be enough to make a lap quilt - that is if my math is correct :)

What scrappy projects are you planning this year?
