While my red scrap bin was out, I also finished more Rainbow Scrap Challenge blocks
for my second scrap project.
for my second scrap project.
Fourteen more half rectangles (HRTs) are finished. I think they measure 4 x 8".
I added them to the puprle blocks I made last month. I still can't decide if I want to create some diamonds by making some mirrored image blocks or simply lay them out like above.
Guess I have to think about that some more....
I also want to remind everyone that starting Thursday, the Quilty Orphan Adoption Event link-up will be live. Time to find a home for all those unloved projects!

It is now your turn to share what you are making with scraps. Here are the details for linking up:
- This linky party is for any scrappy project - It can be in-process or a finished piece.
- You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features your use of scraps.
- If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. So if you are writing about scraps, just get into the habit of including a link as there will be a linky party available every week!
- If you are using Instagram, please use the hashtag #ohscrap.
- This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
- Following my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!

scraps make such wonderful quilts!
I don't think you can go wrong with any layout you choose. I love making HRT's these days!
Whatever type of layout you decide on, I don't think you can go wrong! It will be fun to see what you do with these. Have a great Sunday, Cyndy!
Wonderful RED blocks for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, Cynthia! Someone recently made a quilt with HRTs and accidentally made some reverse block. Her quilt (Cathy?) turned out SEW cut with random triangles around the quilt!
Wouldn’t it be fun to sprinkle a few HRT diamonds in with the HRTs?
Your Half Rectangles are splendid, love the colour mix.
such cool blocks!!! You always have the best scrap ideas!
I love those blocks and I would leave them as is, no mirroring required. So pretty with the red & purple!
Such pretty blocks! Whichever way you place them they will shine!
