I finally sewed the last few blocks together on the scrap quilt I was working on. I am really pleased with how it turned out. You can see some previous posts on the project here and here.
The quilt is made entirely from 2 1/2" squares taken from my scrap bin and sewn into 16-patch blocks. I then pulled various solids and framed each block with a 1 1/2" strip.
Most of the solids were technically scraps as they were the last bits left over from older projects. I love projects like this that use items entirely from your stash.
And it is a real bonus when they turn out this great.
Now it has been moved to the ever growing "to be quilted" pile. I was lucky enough to even have a backing in my stash!
Yay for a finish! (...well, almost)

I love how this quilt has turned out--probably enticed by those bits of teal.
This quilt is so cool! I love this color combo with the aqua, yellow and gray. There is just enough of each to really pop!
Thank you so much for sharing at Needle and Thread Thursday!

Such a great plan for your scraps! How did you make it look like everything goes together?!
Congrats! It looks awesome!!
beautiful use of your scraps - I liked the controlled colour scrappiness of it - you've used some of my favourite colours in it.
