When a friend recently brought me some leftover fabrics that I ended up making my Bollywood quilt out of, tucked in the bottom of the bag was also a colorful panel. Rather than put it in the scrap bin, I decided to sew it up into a couple quick projects.
First, there was a long and narrow section that ran along the selvage. It was an easy finish to add a lovely border and quilt some straight lines.
A pretty print for the back and a navy Kona solid for the binding.
It is always good to have these little items around to give as gifts.
And the colors in this are yummy!
The rest of the fabric panel consisted of a fun square design.
Once again, I felt a simple border was all it needed.
The print for this one wasn't quite big enough so I had to use a little more of the Kona Navy.
Another great piece waiting for gifting.....or keeping. Hmmm...
I am not usually a fan of fabric panels but this one has great colors and a really pretty design. I couldn't resist turning it into a finish.

Gorgeous fabric. I am so in love with it. Yes, I would keep it if I were you. You did an awesome job on both. Love, love, loooovvvveee. ;^)
Those are beautiful!! What a fun find from a bag of scraps! It looks like you have one to keep and one to save for gifting. The best of both worlds!
I love both of these!
Isn't that pretty! Those panels are perfect for both of these! I've never been a fan of panels either. But these are just gorgeous! Why in the world would someone give it away?! These are not scraps!!
Very pretty! You get some awesome fabric surprises. I really like those panels. Congrats on two great finishes!
They are both so pretty. What great little finishes.
What a great print. Very pretty and colourful.
I usually don't like panels either but that sure is a wow finish!
Very pretty! Congrats on another finish!
Very cute finish!!!
Well done - some lovely quick finishes. Thanks for linking up to #scraptastictuesday
Wow! I'm also not a fan of panels, but those would be hard to resist - especially after seeing what you've done with them! Lovely!
What a great use for the panels. They are beautiful and I love the straight quilting.
Those would make great gifts! I like that you have a gift stash at the ready. I don't generally do that but there are times that I could use a ready-made gift. I may have to give it a go. These panels are beautiful. I had no idea that any of the fabric companies had anything so nice in panels. I guess I should pay closer attention! Thanks for sharing your fabulous ideas!
These are gorgeous panels and your projects are a perfect way to show them off! Ig you need my address, let me know ...
What a great idea and these colours are beautiful I admire all your work. Continued Happy Stitching in 2016!
