Oh Scrap! : Quilty 365

Here we are on Easter Sunday and the end of March is coming fast!  I am finding myself not getting into my sewing room for large chunks of time lately but I have been stitching a few minutes every day and keeping up with a few projects.

Here are my Quilty 365 blocks for the four full weeks in March.  I chose some fabrics to document Leap Day, maintenance to my longarm, taxes, a nighttime visit outside my bedroom window by an owl, homemade chili and teaching EPP.  Many of the other fabrics are scraps from projects I worked on during the month.

This last week has been really uneventful and just about work.
Funny, even my block looks a bit boring!

Here are the first three months or one quarter of my quilt up on the design wall.  It should be a generous queen size when it is finished.

How about you, hope you share what you are working on!

Here are the details for linking up:
  • This linky party is for any scrappy project - It can be in-process or a finished piece.
  • You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features your use of scraps.
  • If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. So if you are writing about scraps, just get into the habit of including a link as there will be a linky party available every week!
  • If you are using Instagram, please use the hashtag #ohscrap.
  • This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
  • Following my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!
Quilting is more fun than Housework

I will machine stitch the binding to a table mat that I made and do some hand stitching in the car today as we go to see family. Happy Easter. Love your circles!!

Happy Easter! Looks like I have mostly scrap projects lately but today I managed to finish a bag. Now should quilt quilty365 project and begin new. Your circles in square with triangles are beautiful and great idea. x Teje

Happy Easter Cynthia. All the sewing I will be doing today is today's circle for the Quilty 365 project, but I'll be posting about that later in the week. I like your weekly layout; very original.

I love your Quilty 365 blocks and it always makes me smile to see them. I think one of the most fascinating things about this challenge is all the different takes on the project. So many roads!

I always love seeing your Quilty 365 blocks! They have such a neat look to them, and are going to make an amazing quilt! Some weeks I have a hard time picking out fabric for mine, too - just nothing stands out for those particular days. But I think altogether, the whole thing will be pretty neat!

I find your blocks pretty and interesting. A good combination with triangles and circles. I've linked a paper pieced block I made to a pincushion. There I've used the tiniest scraps ever.

Eye candy...pure and simple! Both settings are beyond beautiful..but I like the second one better. Either way you can't lose. What a neat idea to combine them into one gorgeous top. You are so inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
