Today, I have some really exciting news to share.
I have finally written up a pattern for my Bamboo Shoots quilt!
My initial quilt was made using Robert Kaufman's Quilter's Linen. I wanted to create a very mid-century or Danish modern feel with nice clean lines.
I really love how the apple green and chocolate brown looked together.
What can I say - I am a child of the seventies!
But you certainly don't need to use solids for this pattern. Here is one I made using an eggplant marbled background and some Kaffe Fassett florals.
So rich and colorful!
To celebrate, I have marked down all of my patterns temporarily in both my Etsy shop and Payhip Store. I should mention that because my patterns are now sold in stores, on Tuesday the 6th, I will be increasing their price up to a standard List Price (which is more than I have been selling them for in the past). So if there is a pattern you have been wanting, this weekend is a great time to pick them up!

Yes, this quilt, in those colors, has a very Mid-Century Modern feel. I like it in both colorways!

Yay! That's a gorgeous quilt and so versatile - it's amazing how different it looks in the pink and purple!
What a great pattern! I really like the green version, and I'm surprised at how different the purple version looks from the green. Fun!
70's chick here, too. I grew up in the 70's, married and started a family, and had a couple of serious surgeries. Lots of changes and memories. So of course, the green/brown colorway is my favorite. But the other one makes me think of the granddaughters and their so sweet girlie colors. I imagine that this is a pattern that will look great in just about any color or fabric.
I love your design. The green and brown reminds me of my son's monkey/jungle nursery. I didn't think 70's until you mentioned it. It looks great in both color schemes.

That is a great pattern! Looks like it would be fun to make, and so different in appearance depending on the colors chosen. I like both of the versions you showed us. Having made two of your patterns this year, I know how well written yours are!

This is lovely, but don't hate me when I say that I think we had some wallpaper just like the green and brown in the kitchen when I was growing up! Very retro 70s feel to it. Like the other colorway too!

I really like your bamboo pattern. Since I'm a huge fan of bamboo forests, so I like the first color palette better ;-)
I'm a sucker for saturated colors, so I really like the second quilt. Both turned out beautifully. Congrats on the new pattern!
Very pretty! The colors on the Kaffe Fassett version are lovely! I like the baptist fans on your solids version too!
